Numabukuro-2, despite being a tranquil residential area, is just 16 minutes away on foot from Nakano, a district with the highest population density within Japan. With a number of famous comic and animation artists are living here, plus various related vocational and technical training schools around the station, it is well-known for being an Otaku centre. Even if you are not a die-hard fan, 'Nakano Broadway' is still a must-see. Being one of the most famous shopping streets in Japan, the Mecca of Otaku 'Mandarake' is located inside.
It occupies a large number of shops within the complex, where you could find all sorts of merchandise about your favorite manga and anime, ranging from figures, models, albums, cosplay items, to even invaluable original manuscripts. You might also feel traveling back in time in the antiques department because it simply has all the old toys and collector's items where you could not see anywhere else. Definitely a highly recommended place to anyone who becomes fascinated by this influential Japanese culture!
Das sagt zumindest die Beschreibung über die nähere Umgebung meines zukünftigen Zuhauses in Tokyo. Ich werd's mir antun, in ein Sakura House Apartment zu ziehen, obwohl es geteilte Meinungen darüber gibt. Von den Bildern her, sehen die Apartments in dem Haus allerdings in Ordnung aus und der Preis ist "erträglich" für ein möbliertes Apartment, für das ich kein Schlüsselgeld, ewig viel Kaution und wasweissich noch bezahlen muss. Über Leopalace hätte mich ein Apartment in Tsunashima, das viel weiter ausserhalb liegt, wie vorher berichtet ca. 130.000 Yen gekostet (1000 Euro). Jetzt komm ich auf knapp 92.000Yen und wohn viel zentraler. Für 5 Monate wird es hoffentlich erträglich sein.
